A new team of mutants is initiated into Professor Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters! Their first trial: the Danger Room!As Karma received a haircut from Stevie Hunter, the other New Mutants were messing around. Sunspot charmed Wolfsbane with a kiss on the hand, but when Psyche pretended to swoon for his attention she accidentally unleashed her power on Karma. Everyone in the room watched Karma relive her rape and the murder of her parents. In anger Karma attacked Psyche, and possessed Stevie to stop her from intervening. Sunspot stopped the fight by slapping Karma, thus breaking her connection with Stevie's mind. However, Karma was still too upset to accept Psyche's apologies. Leaving the others, Dani began to wander around the school, viewing old photographs of the X-Men in their bedrooms, and watering the plants in Storm's attic. She left after an abrupt telepathic message from Professor Xavier to attend the Danger Room for their first training session.Meanwhile in London, Moira...
