He recalls how the Headmen captured Nighthawk and took out his brain, leaving it in a dish, and transplanted Chondu's brain in Nighthawk's body.However, Dr. Strange had defeated Chondu\/Nighthawk, and used his magic to transplant the mind (but not the brain) of Jack Norriss into the body of Nighthawk, and the mind of Chondu into a faun (leaving Norriss's body temporarily mindless).  They then left to attack the Headmen.
