Graded comics are professionally evaluated by companies like CGC (Certified Guaranty Company) and CBCS (Comic Book Certification Service). They assess a comic’s condition, assign a numerical grade (0.5 to 10.0), and encapsulate it in a protective plastic case (a "slab"). Higher grades mean higher value, especially for key issues.
