Valkyrie and Lunatik skirmish in an alley. Ledge, shocked to see that his friend is a super-hero, tries to intervene, but gets himself a broken skull as a result. Lunatik trips Val and runs off.The irradiated Defenders in the Soviet Union are mostly incapacitated, but Namor manages to smack a guard before succumbing. Banner works with the Soviets to have the Defenders sent to a lab where they can be treated. Banner, as an expert on radiation, tries to help them, but the treatment is a challenge.Val chases Lunatik, but he gets her sword and uses the passersby as a distraction. She continues to chase him but he escapes into the crowd.The American and Soviet diplomats argue over the Defenders presence, and the Soviets’ use of an atomic bomb, and agree that they will both keep mum over the case.Banner continues to work on healing the Defenders, but the stress threatens to turn him into the Hulk. Finally he manages to heal them, but passes out from the stress. They are flown back to the...
